Gene Flow : Migration

To start this module, select Gene Flow on the main menu.

A window like the picture below will be displayed. To start the representation enter the values of the allele frequencies in both populations. If desired only one immigration replacement rate can be entered for a uni-directional migration process, or both for the bi-directional case. Set the number of generations to run and click OK. The representation will start and the result will be displayed in a regular cartesian graph.

One population is plotted in red and the other in blue. A box with the numerical values of allele and genotypic frequencies is also shown to help understand the process. Saving the file will generate a text file with both type of frequencies in every generation studied.
